Easy, Quick, Engaging Ideas for this week in November!

Hi Reader,

Hello from the trenches! November has both flown by AND crawled to this point for me. My class is amazing, but we are all starting to feel the effects of November :) This week, I am honestly just trying to stay afloat. So I thought I would send out a quick email with two things I am doing that have helped to keep our lessons focused on the standards, but help the kids to have some fun.

FOIL Balloons Over Broadway

Check out this Reel on Insta or TikTok to see how I adapted my tried and true lessons for this book to include my FOIL Balloons (this whole lesson took my class 3 days to complete) They look so awesome and are a great way to keep the kids focused on their learning in these days before Thanksgiving Break!

Thanksgiving Parade Math

To keep the Parade theme going, my students will be completing these multi-step word problems that, when put together, create a fun little parade of math! These were a hit last year and I know my kids this year will enjoy them as well.

I am also in the thick of Parent Teacher Conferences. I have been using these forms here to help keep everything organized and on track during our meetings. I have used them for years, and they really do help to make sure our conferences move smoothly.
